About Memory Works
I have many years’ of experience in the field of dementia including managing a day care service in the New Forest. During that time I have learnt that many carers can be at a loss as to what to do when a loved one has been diagnosed with dementia. Memory Works offers a vital early stage support with our interactive memory groups. People taking part in CST report increased quality of life and typically an improvement in memory.
Friendly & Enjoyable
The main aim of CST is to get people’s minds active and engaged in a friendly and enjoyable group setting. This counters the risk of people becoming withdrawn after diagnosis which results in further impairment due to loss of skills and confidence.
Supporting The Community
Memory Works aims to raise awareness of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy as part of the National Dementia Pathway for Hampshire supporting the community where it is needed.
